In reality, there’s a million reason, but here are the ones we came up with.
Long Beach likes to Drink
It has a slew of dive bars you can enjoy some good drinks for cheap. The Falcon, The Eagle 562 and Paradise Bar, and Restaurant are just a few favorites where you can enjoy live music and weekly Karaoke.
Long Beach has great views
From balancing your chakras at Bluff park to getting a beer at Belmont Brewing Company, there are tons of places to enjoy a great peaceful ocean view.
Long Beach has the best Brunch
Whether you are in the mood for bottomless mimosas, a cup of coffee or a loaded breakfast Long Beach has you covered. Check out the Breakfast Bar, Starling Diner, and Paradise.
Long Beach Loves Pets
From having one of the only dog beaches in the area, most Long Beach restaurants are also very welcoming to the pets that accompany guest.
Long Beach is bike-friendly
Last year the city was ranked the third most bike-friendly city in the nation. And the city has plans to further improve bike routes where a cyclist can go enjoy scenic rides too.
Long Beach loves its art
There is no shortage of art to see around the city. From murals scattered all around to the Long Beach Museum of Art, the Museum of Latin American Art and the Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum there is inspiration everywhere.
Long Beach has a giant pyramid
Visit the campus of Cal State Long Beach and you will see a stunning but massive blue pyramid, dubbed Walter Pyramid, that serves as the sports venue for the campus.
Long Beach Aquarium can’t be beat
The city is home to the Aquarium of the Pacific, the biggest aquarium in the southern half of the state. You can feed sharks at the touch pool or check out the dolphins. The aquarium is definitely a place you can roam around all day in.
Long Beach is full of Historical Buildings
Take a sightseeing tour and see all the buildings within Long Beach’s historic districts. You can also opt into seeing the Guinness Book of World Records award-winning narrowest house in the nation.
Long Beach has great shopping locations
If you are looking for an outdoor mall the Pike Outlets is for you. If you are looking for a more vintage feel then Retro Row is where you need to go. Whatever you are in the mood for there is a place for you.
